O esperanto i Zamenhofie
* "Dr Esperanto" - Ludwik Zamenhof, Polish doctor, the author of artifical, international language - Esperanto, who was born on  December 15th, 1859 in Bialystok.

* Probably the language Esperanto would have never been made, but Zamenhof had been brought up in multinational city - in Bialystok, where people were using many languages: Polish, Russian, German, Yidish. When Ludwik Zamenhof was 9, he wrote art called "The Babel Tower". It is said that it's based on stories connected with Bialystok City Hall. Around this building traders were selling their goods and speaking foreign languages. Ludwik Zamenhof thought that one, the same language will be good solution for citizens to avoid rows. He was listening to many words which were used in different languages around the City hall and searching for the most similar, then he was making one word with the same meaning.

* In 1885 Zamenhof has finished project of international language, which we use today.

* All over the world there's over 1000 objects - streets, squares, etc. with the Ludwik Zamenhof and Esperanto in it's name.

* Every year we calebrate 15th December as The Zamenhof's Day.
